We were faced with an alternative: loving or hating. Yet we easily chose to hate. How easy it is to hate. We can do it for every reason, or in the name of nothing at all. It becomes so easy that, eventually, we forget how to love.
After walking hundreds of miles, we are surprised to find that all we needed was loving. Nature always forces us to meet this opportunity. We have spent too long neglecting her. At last, we decide to go back. But then we recognize that our alternative is a linear function. It is absurd to return. And so we must make a very long journey in order to go home, and ask our mother where loving has gone, and how old loving is.
To redeem our guilt, perhaps we should give the rest of our lives to finding and gathering the remnants of loving within ourselves. People travel everywhere: the Alps, the sea floors, the isles, the Malvinas, Sasando, or the zero point of the Arctic Pole. But I understand that we have forgotten to search for loving within our own hearts. Within conscience. Journey inwards.
When we understand better, perhaps we should clean our window, so that we may see better, and love better.
(How we forget the essence of planting, fertilizing, and harvesting our conscience. Journey inwards is the journey that begins with understanding loving.)
